I came across this amazing tumble blog a while ago and I was so intrigued I immediately started scrolling to find out more about it.
The blog is based upon a single question: If your house was burning, what would you take with you? It may seem simple and not very interesting at first but if you think about it, it really shows us how materialistic can't measure up to what we know and what we've been through in life.
Considering the obvious, if your house was on fire you'd be able to pick up only a few personal belongings, documents, some money and maybe a few clothing pieces but what truly matters are the experiences you've had and the memories you cherish and the knowledge you possess. And those are the things you take with you wherever you go.
The philosophic side of it would be the conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental. What one would take reflects their interests, background and priorities. These parameters vary from individual to individual and that's exactly what makes the project so interesting.
